Cricket Namibia’s aim is to give every child the opportunity to play cricket and it is our vision to implement a structure that allows equal opportunity, a structure that will be fair to all players, and transparent to all stakeholders.

We are pleased to have APS and XCO Namibia as sponsors of the Cricket Namibia National School week that will be hosted in Windhoek from the 7th to the 10th of December at WAP, Wanderers, WHS Wegkop, United and CCD fields, and in Walvis Bay for all the U/13 boys. The tournament will kick off with an opening ceremony on Sunday, 6th December, 18h00 at Wanderers Main Hall and Walvis Bay Primary School Hall where all the players will be capped and will be handed over their playing shirts.

Considering the vast distances, amount, and quality of exposure of our school players; our trial structures should also aim to create more opportunities to participate in competitive games while not neglecting any player irrespective of geography and therefore the National Week was established. We also clearly identified the need for a National competition to increase strengths versus strength playing opportunities for the top players as well as longer format games.

The U/11, U/16 & U/19 boys’ teams will participate in Windhoek against each other.  The U/13 boys will be in Walvis Bay.
