On Saturday, April 2, 2022, the Dutch men’s team will play the second One Day International against New Zealand in the context of the Super League at 3 a.m. Dutch time. National coach Ryan Campbell looks back on the first ODI, which was won by New Zealand, and looks ahead to the second game.

“Looking back on the first race, our top order made some fundamental mistakes that put us under a lot of pressure. I was very happy with the way we fought back and managed to get a 200+ score. As for bowling, we generally bowled too short and that was punished.”

“Looking ahead to the second ODI, we have moved to Hamilton and the atmosphere is great. The players have analyzed the game and there are some aspects that we clearly need to improve on.”

“Playing against the number one in the world is of course not easy, but the players are up to the challenge and are looking forward to the second and third ODI.”
