After the defeat against Ireland, Namibia also proved too strong for the Orange on Wednesday. Because Sri Lanka defeated Ireland on the same day, the Netherlands no longer has a chance to make it to the Super 12.

National coach Ryan Campbell: “It will be clear that we have a very empty feeling at the moment. Everyone is very disappointed with the result. But these two losses should not determine how this group of players is viewed.”

“We will analyze everything that has happened and hopefully make sure we put it right. The game against Sri Lanka is a great opportunity for us to leave this World Cup with our heads held high.”

The last game against Sri Lanka is on Friday, October 22 at 4 p.m. Dutch time.
