On 16, 18 and 21 August 2022, the Netherlands will play three World Cup qualifiers (One Day Internationals) against Pakistan on the VOC field in Rotterdam. The selection committee has announced its selection for the competitions. Notable names in the selection are Wesley Barresi (HBS), who returns, and newcomer Arnav Jain (VOC).
Barresi (38) made his debut for the Netherlands in 2010 and played his last game in 2019. In 32 ODIs, he scored 927 runs (average 35.65) and another 799 (22.82) in 42 T20Is. He can keep goalkeepers and also bowls meritorious offspin.
Arnav Jain (20) is an off spinner/batsman. He previously played for the Netherlands U19 and impressed during the T20 final day. He bowled 2-15 in the final, scoring 40 runs from 22 balls.
