Bas de Leede, who previously signed a contract with MI Emirates to participate in the ILT20 in the United Arab Emirates, has won a second contract within a short period of time. Later this month, he will play a 10-over tournament in Abu Dhabi for the Morrisville SAMP Army T10 team.

De Leede was signed after his outstanding performance in the T20 World Cup. He took thirteen wickets to make him the second most successful bowler in the World Cup.

There are some private cricket initiatives, especially in the United Arab Emirates. At the beginning of 2023, the ILT20 will start in Dubai and a number of other Emirates, including Sharjah. That sporting event is now preceded by the Abu Dhabi T10, which will be played from November 23 to December 4, 2022. All matches (three per day) will be played at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The Morrisville SAMP Army is a new franchise in the tournament, which had six participants last year and eight this year. The event had 342 million TV and online viewers last year.

Bas: “I am very happy to have been contracted by SAMP Army for the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10. I expect a lot of entertainment and excitement in these matches and would like to start tomorrow.”
