Thanks to excellent performances at the World Cup T20, the Dutch men’s team is already assured of qualification for the next World Cup in 2024. The Orange recorded a sensational victory earlier today (Sunday) over one of the original title favorites, South Africa. With Pakistan’s win over Bangladesh and India over Zimbabwe, the Orange squad finished fourth. That place entitles you to direct qualification.

That’s fantastic news; until now, the Netherlands had always been dependent on qualifying tournaments and preliminary rounds.

Given the large number of surprising results during this World Cup, two Full Members will soon be sentenced to play Qualifiers: Ireland and Zimbabwe. In addition, strong Associate Members such as UAE, Namibia and Scotland will also have to force entry into the 2024 final tournament through qualifiers. Orange is exempt from this.
