All cricket competitions can start on Sunday 3 July

The cabinet has announced that various corona measures will be relaxed as part of the opening plan.

That is also good news for the cricketers as it means we can start all cricket competitions on Sunday 3rd July. The Top -, Hoofdklasse and Youth Competition had already started earlier.

In fact, we can even use the weekend of June 26/27 as a ‘warm-up weekend’ on the way to the official start of the competition. We therefore invite you to organize practice matches yourself that weekend, so that everyone can start well prepared on July 3rd.

From June 26, the public is also allowed again at the competitions, of course taking into account the 1,5 meters away.

For the Top class and Hoofdklasse (f) the KNCB protocol “Start Top Competitions” will expire from June 26th. From that date, it will no longer be necessary to test players, coaches and officials for Covid-19 prior to the matches.

Have fun with the practice matches and if you have nice images, mail them to cricket@kncb.nl and we will be happy to share them.
