The women of the Dutch cricket team landed at Schiphol today. They returned to the Netherlands after the cancellation of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers tournament.
The journey for the women was a detour. After a flight to Namibia, the journey was continued towards Oman and then Doha, after which flights could be flown directly to Schiphol. Jurgen Delfos, chairman of the KNCB:
“We are pleased that the Dutch women’s team has just returned safely from Zimbabwe. The women are now being tested again, just like before the flight, and will be quarantined at home until at least 5 December, provided they can also test negative at that time. International cricket association (ICC) is grateful for arranging the flights. The KNCB will support its women’s team where possible during this quarantine time.”
