Phase 3 of the opening plan (COVID-19) has started and that means good news for cricket fans. Due to the further relaxation, the following are now possible:

Youth competition

The youth competition from U9 to U17 can start again from 6 June. The KNCB will share the schedule for this first competition weekend with (competition) secretaries and youth coordinators by email this weekend. When setting up the competition, the shortest possible travel distances between clubs have been taken into account. Spectators are not yet allowed at the matches.

Senior competition

The senior competition is in the last phase 5 of the government’s step-by-step plan. If these are put forward, we will of course report this immediately.

What is allowed are mutual matches at the club of teams within 1 association. This was already allowed for young people up to the age of 18, but now also for people older than 18 years.

It is no longer possible to keep a distance of 1.5 meters

More good news, because the 1.5 meter distance that applied outside for athletes aged 18 and older has been canceled. Also, the maximum group size of 30 people no longer applies to this target group. This has been increased to 50 people.

Changing rooms

Changing rooms and showers will also open, as will the sports canteens.
