The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced today that following the revision and subsequent re-evaluation, Robine Rijke’s bowling action has been found legal and she can resume bowling in international cricket.

Rijke was banned from bowling after her action was reported during the 2018 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier, which was held in the Netherlands.

A panel of experts reviewed video footage of Rijke’s revamped bowling action and concluded that the degree of elbow extension was within the 15 degree tolerance level allowed under the ICC Illegal Bowling Regulations .

Match officials can still report Rijke’s bowling action if they believe she is showing a suspicious action and not the now allowed action. To assist the Match Officials, they will be provided with the record and video footage of the bowler’s legal bowling action.
