The T20 World Cup will be held in Australia from October 16 to November 13, 2022. The Netherlands qualified for this by beating the United States in July 2022 in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe.

The Netherlands will play three matches in the group stage of the World Cup. In Group A, the Orange squad will take on the United Arab Emirates, Namibia and Sri Lanka in succession.
Head coach Ryan Cook said: “We have put together a balanced roster for the upcoming T20 World Cup with an exciting mix of youth and experience. The experience of playing in the Super League is valuable and the team can draw confidence from the performances that have been delivered there. We will do our best to continue the progression that has been seen in the tournament over the summer, prior to the event we have planned a top preparation that will ensure that the group is ready for the tournament, both in skill and cohesion. “
