The Dutch U19 girls’ team will play three T20 matches against Scotland on August 9, 10 and 11 at 11 a.m. The winner of this series of matches qualifies for the girls’ first ever U19 T20 World Cup. This will take place in South Africa in January 2023.

Sixteen countries will participate in the first U19 World Cup: the eleven Full Members plus the United States. The last four tickets go to one country per continent: Asia, East Asia Pacific, Africa and Europe. In Europe, only the Netherlands and Scotland play against each other, because England and Ireland are already seeded.

The three matches against Scotland will take place at Kampong in Utrecht.

Head coach Helmien Rambaldo: “After a good preparation in the winter and women’s T20 competition, we are looking forward to the summer full of cricket for the Dutch Lionesses U19. The T20 World Cup qualifiers against Scotland provide a great opportunity for the Lionesses U19 to show what they have worked so hard for together lately. It’s going to be a great challenge and experience to play at this level, and I can’t wait to see them on the pitch together for the ticket to the World Cup.”
