The relaxations have been approved. That means that we will start on phase 2 of the opening plan from Wednesday 19 May!
What does this mean for cricket?
General
Outdoor sports in a group is possible again, but there are conditions. This is allowed with a maximum of 30 people and everyone keeps a distance of 1.5 meters. Competitions and audiences are not allowed.
Young people up to the age of 26 were previously allowed to do more outdoor sports. They may exercise together outside without keeping a distance of 1.5 meters .
Up to and including 26 years old.
Group training is allowed, without the 1.5 meter distance rule. Athletes up to the age of 17 are also allowed to do this indoors.
Unfortunately, youth is not yet allowed to start with league matches. This is expected to follow with the next step in the ‘opening’ in June. However, matches may be played with teams from their own association.
27 years and older
All athletes aged 27 and older are allowed to train outside in a group with a maximum group size of 30 people. However, they keep a distance of 1.5 m from each other. Competitions are not allowed. Indoor sports are allowed individually or in groups with a maximum of 2 people. It is allowed to sport with several groups of 2.
