NSW Metropolitan have produced a stellar grand final performance at the U19 Female National Championships in Brisbane, defeating hosts Queensland in the final to secure back-to-back titles.
Elsa Hunter, who vice-captains Gordon’s Women’s Cricket Club in the premier division of the women’s NSW Premier Cricket competition, earned the Player of the Final award for her decisive innings of 69 runs from 93 deliveries.

Hunter, along with teammate Frankie Nicklin, would earn their way into the Team of the Tournament, named at the conclusion of the competition.
Hunter amassed a wealth of runs throughout the championships, totalling 270 at an impressive average of 38.57. Notably, she achieved a remarkable century against Papua New Guinea in the final preliminary round.
Nicklin concluded as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker, securing 19 wickets at a remarkable average of 6.53. Her standout performance included a pivotal five-wicket haul in the semi-final against NSW Country.
