The Cricket NSW Foundation will host its second annual Charity Golf Day at Bonnie Doon Golf Club on Thursday April 4, providing an awesome opportunity for golfers to line up alongside a host of cricket stars.

This year, superstars Alyssa Healy, Mitchell Starc, Sydney Sixers captain Moises Henriques and Sydney Thunder skipper Chris Green were amongst many NSW cricketers who teed off to support the foundation.

Along with the current NSW stars and dozens of other golfers who took on the four-person Ambrose format, the crowd was treated to a post round function with MCs Brendan Julian and Jay Lenton, alongside NSW and Australian cricket legends, Michael Bevan and Geoff Lawson.

Green said the day offered a great mix of top quality golf and a fun lunch off the course.

“It was fantastic playing golf with people who share a passion for the game and the lunch was a terrific opportunity for everyone to kick back and enjoy hearing a number of players, past and present, share their journeys about how different arms of the CNSW Foundation has helped shape their careers and their lives.”

Jake Balnave, Head of Cricket NSW Foundation, said the day is a great opportunity for cricket and golf enthusiasts to throw their support behind the Cricket NSW Foundation, established in 2021 to enrich communities and improve lives through cricket.

“Our inaugural Charity Golf Day at Bonnie Doon was a wonderful opportunity for members of the public to play golf at one of Sydney’s premier golf clubs alongside some of NSW’s world class current and former cricketers, and at the same time support the work the Cricket NSW Foundation does to increase access to cricket in our community,” Balnave said.

“Money raised from the Charity Golf Day enables the Cricket NSW Foundation to fund programs aimed at increasing the access to cricket for everyone across NSW, with a focus on the Foundation’s four key pillars – Thriving Cricket Communities, Youth Development, Health and Well-Being and Female Engagement.”
