As the Kumul Petroleum PNG Barramundis historic participation in the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup draws near an end, Cricket PNG, with the support of the PNGAus Partnership, is hosting the Junior Village Cricket World Cup 2021 this Saturday at Amini Park. After the successful Village World Cup last weekend, we will have Under 13 boys and Under 15 girls participating and representing the countries of the World Cup. The tournament will be held strictly in accordance with the Lockdown Measures, including that at no time will there be 20 or more people on the field, all participants must have been vaccinated, and no spectators will be present.

Last weekend we saw our local teams embrace the occasion of the World Cup, and this weekend we expect more of the same, with the additional exuberance of youth. The whole of PNG is so proud of our Barras, and this Junior World Cup bookends a historic week for Cricket PNG.
