Cricket Scotland: Anti-racism and EDI Advisory Group hold first meeting

Cricket Scotland, formerly the Scottish Cricket Union, is the governing body for cricket in Scotland, based at the National Cricket Academy in Edinburgh. Established in 1908 and restructured in 2001, it became an ICC Associate Member in 1994. The organization includes three sub-associations: the East of Scotland Cricket Association, Western District Cricket Union, and Aberdeenshire Cricket Association.

Cricket Scotland’s new Anti-Racism and EDI Advisory Group met for the first time on Monday evening, marking another key moment in the governing body’s Action Plan responding to the Changing The Boundaries report.

There was an excellent exchange of views and positive constructive discussion amongst the members, who agreed to convene again within the next few weeks.

The Advisory Group are tasked with providing guidance and input into Cricket Scotland’s Anti-Racism and EDI Strategy and Delivery Plan. The group will report into a new Board EDI Sub-Committee, and will be chaired by Ajit Trivedi, Head of EDI at Dundee University and a board member of Cricket Scotland.
