Cricket Scotland can today announce Grant Morgan has resigned as men’s assistant coach and has returned to South Africa due to personal reasons.
Shane Burger, head coach of Scotland’s men, said: “It is with great sadness we say goodbye to Morgs. In the short time he had with us at Cricket Scotland, he made a huge impact.
“We wish him well and know that whatever his next venture might be or wherever his journey takes him, he will make a success from it.”
Joining Cricket Scotland from the Hollywoodbets Dolphins, a successful South African franchise based in KwaZulu-Natal, Grant Morgan took up the post in July 2019 and joined Scotland on three overseas tours which included a tri-series in Ireland, the men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Dubai and a Cricket World Cup League 2 series in UAE in December 2019.
Cricket Scotland joins Shane Burger in wishing Grant all the best for the future and thanks him for his time with Scotland’s men over the last year.
