The Role
We are currently seeking to appoint a Talent Development Manager for the female pathway, to ensure that the Victorian High Performance Pathway squads achieve an optimum level of performance and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the training and coaching requirements of the High Performance Victorian Cricket Emerging Player squads incorporating:
– Emerging Player squads including Under 16, Under 19 and Performance Squads
– Winter training squads
– Pre-season camps & training programs
– In-season training programs - In conjunction with the Head of Female Cricket, responsible for the appointment of coaching staff as required
- Responsible for skill analysis of individuals and squads
- Responsible for implementing individual skill development strategies in line with IPP
- Provide individual coaching sessions aligned to IPP development goals
- Performance review of individual players at the end of each training phase for distribution amongst Cricket Performance coaching staff and Premier club coaches
- In conjunction with the High Performance coaching staff and squad coaches, manage the development and implementation of training programs for U16 and U19 Female squads (includes country and metro)
- Provide framework for U16 and U19 programs and act as mentor to Coaches of each program
- Complete reporting as requiredfor National Championship teams within ACPP guidelines
- Travel with U19 Vic Metro State Team to the Cricket Australia National Championships
- Travel with U16 Vic Teams to intra-matches as directed by the Head of Female Cricket
- In conjunction with the Head of Female Cricket, be involved in the dissemination of relevant coaching information for Premier clubs and VMCU/VCCL via the Talent Development Specialists
About You
The successful candidate will have experience managing a cricket program in addition to identifying and developing young talent. They will have demonstrated experience in managing stakeholders and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. Above all else, the successful candidate will have a genuine passion to identify and develop successful female cricketers and enhance the technical, tactical and mental skills of female players in our youth programs.
To be considered, you will meet the below criteria:
- Minimum Level 2 Coaching Accreditation
- Previous experience in managing and leading a cricket program
- Excellent communication skills
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
- Current Victoria Driver’s License
