The Role
Following an internal promotion, we are currently seeking to appoint a full time Team Operations Specialist to provide administrative and logistical support to the Cricket Victoria business to ensure the successful delivery of all team operations, systems and processes across all brands (including W/BBL, State Men’s and Women’s and pathway programs) and to support, coordinate and synchronise administration and high-performance goals.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Main liaison for all travel requirements for CV teams (including W/BBL and Pathway)
- Coordinate all travel bookings for players/teams, coaches and support staff throughout the season, including but not limited to flights, accommodation, hire cars and buses (this will include availability over weekends and holidays in case of changes or emergencies)
- Main liaison of direct travel services including rental vehicles, coaches and private transfers’
- Manage visa, insurance and associated activities of international players
- Act as the central point of contact for all apparel requirements for CV teams (including W/BBL and Pathway)
- Work closely with all elite teams and CV departments to coordinate and place all apparel orders for players and staff based on the lead times established by the suppliers and needs of relevant teams
- Ensure apparel orders are completed in line with organisational budgets
- Work closely with brand and commercial teams to ensure all apparel orders are in line with partner and brand requirements, including coordinating the embellishment of uniforms
- Manage the equipment program in conjunction with all commercial/sponsorship teams, including ordering and allocation of specialized equipment (kitbag’s, pads, helmets) and all gear required on tour
- Check and process all related supplier invoices within agreed timeframes; track and monitor spend to ensure adherence to team budgets
- Assist the Senior Match Operations Officer with team and staff accreditation needs
- Assist with the onboarding of players from CV and W/BBL teams
- Continually review operations to identify opportunities for efficiencies and savings
About You
The successful candidate will use their exceptional customer service and communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Cricket Victoria, as well as with key external stakeholders. They will demonstrate a high level of accuracy and a strong attention to detail, whilst being able to prioritise and remain organised. Above all else, the successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving capabilities and time management skills along with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
To be considered, you will meet the below criteria:
- 3-5 years’ experience within a relevant working environment
- Experience working with third parties to deliver travel requirements
- Good communication and time management skills
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- Accuracy & attention to detail
- Exceptional Customer Service experience
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
