The Role
We are currently seeking two creative individuals to play a part in the upcoming Big Bash League (W/BBL) season as our Videographers. One position will be solely dedicated to the Melbourne Renegades while the other to the Melbourne Stars. These positions will play a critical role in maximising fan engagement for the Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars through the production of video content for web, social media, and other business needs.
The successful candidate must be available to work out of hours and weekends from October to January.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Shoot, edit and deliver regular video content packages for the club across web, social media, VNR and internal channels
- Deliver innovative approaches to content and lead a fan-first approach which creates engagement
- Develop strong relationships with W/BBL players and coaches
- Attend matches, club events, training sessions and partner activities to produce content
- As required, assist in delivery of match day broadcast requirements and other media and communications opportunities
- Assist with general administration duties
About You
The successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally with a major sporting team, and be able to work professionally and efficiently with high profile athletes. They will have advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro X, and be highly proficient in video editing to a high standard. Above all else, the successful candidates will be strong time managers and have the ability to work to tight deadlines – with an expectation to turn around same-day content, while also managing longer term projects.
To be considered, you will meet the below criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in video, digital, production, film, or media
- Advanced knowledge of professional camera systems (such as DSLR, XDCAM or similar)
- Competent skills to shoot chroma screen vision and edit using such material
- Significant understanding of cricket
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders concurrently
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (or arranged on appointment)
- Valid Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle
