Cricket West Indies (CWI) governs cricket across the West Indies, a confederation of Caribbean countries. Originally established as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control in the 1920s, it became the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in 1996 and was rebranded as Cricket West Indies in May 2017 as part of a restructuring effort.

ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Due to an overnight break-in at the players pavilion at Warner Park, St. Kitts, the scheduled start of the Leewards Hurricanes vs Barbados Pride match in the fourth round of the West Indies Championship has been delayed by one day.

The match will now start on Friday 7th February at 10am (9am Jamaica Time).

Local hosts Leeward Islands Hurricanes and the St. Kitts Cricket Association have confirmed to Cricket West Indies that local police are investigating the matter and that all necessary steps are being taken to mitigate against such a situation recurring.

The delayed start to this fixture is not expected to have any significant impact on the ongoing series of matches across the region.

The other matches ongoing in the fourth round are:

Guyana Jaguars vs Jamaica Scorpions at Guyana National Stadium

Windward Islands Volcanoes vs Trinidad & Tobago Red Force at Windsor Park, Dominica
