The Cricket South Africa (CSA) Four-Day Series is set to resume with both Division One and Division Two teams in action this week.

South Africa’s premier red-ball competition will return on Thursday, 09 February 2023 with Division Two’s AET Tuskers at home against Eastern Cape Iinyathi in Pietermaritzburg whilst Mpumalanga Rhinos face up against Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers in Uplands College in White River.

The Northern Cape Heat and Eastern Storm encounter moved from the original date of the 9 – 12 February 2023 due to player and support staff being involved in the Betway SA20. The match will now be played on 23-26 February 2023.

The Division One teams will resume their red-ball campaign on Sunday, 12 February 2023.

Hollywoodbets Dolphins will host the Six Gun Grill Western Province at the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium in Durban.

Meanwhile, DP World Lions will travel to the Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein, to face the ITEC Knights and the Gbets Rocks are in Potchefstroom against North West Dragons at the JB Marks Oval.

CSA Head of Cricket Pathways, Edward Khoza, commented on the resumption of the domestic red-ball action;

“The 2022/23 season has been nothing short of expressive cricket action as all eyes are on  South Africa to deliver massive international events.

“With the recently concluded inaugural ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup and the first season of the Betway SA20 coming to an end, cricket action continues across the country.

“The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will kick-off in Cape Town on Friday, 10 February 2023 with Paarl and Gqeberha also hosting the spectacular event.

“It will be amazing to see  local talent back in action in the longer format of the game in an all-important season. Our teams will be fighting for top honours to stay in Division One as promotion and/or relegations awaits at the end of the season,” Khoza continued.

“We look forward to seeing the legacy of these events and their impact on the domestic game for both our men and women’s teams country wide,” concluded Khoza.
