CSA: Award-winning Mi Casa to perform at ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Final

Cricket South Africa (CSA) governs cricket in South Africa. Formed in 2002, it succeeded the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCB) and became the sole governing body in 2008. Award-winning Afrobeats and house band Mi Casa will close off the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in style with an electric performance ahead of the Final at Newlands Cricket Ground on Sunday. The trio will also be joined by the Ndlovu Youth Choir, who are fresh off their performance on the latest season of America’s Got Talent.

An additional 2000 tickets at R30 per ticket have been made available for the Final through the Western Province Cricket Club. Tickets can only be purchased on a first come, first served basis at the ticket office at the stadium, which will be open on Saturday between 09h00 – 13h00.

Music and entertainment will headline the day of festivities at the Final, and will set the stage for the biggest showpiece on the women’s cricket calendar this year.

Mi Casa lead-singer, J’Something, is thrilled to be a part of the historic day: “We are super stoked to be a part of such a special moment in sport. It’s all about the Women’s T20 World Cup, it is a pleasure that we can add good energy and vibes to the day. We are feeling proud to be a part of it all.

“The real moment is the Women’s T20 World Cup and women being at the forefront of the sport and us celebrating this big moment which is long overdue. Us as Mi Casa are there to add to the atmosphere, happiness and joy that is the Women’s T20 World Cup. We might also sneak in some new music so we hope the crowd will turn it up on Sunday,” he concluded.

The match will start at 15h00, with the entertainment taking place before the match from 13h30.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to be a part of a full day of activities and events, as the celebration of cricket draws to a close in exciting style. Tickets for the final are available online here and at the stadium ticket office.
