Cricket South Africa (CSA) has congratulated the Hollywoodbets Dolphins and Northern Cape Heat, who were crowned champions of the 2022/23 CSA 4-Day Series.

Dolphins were crowned on Wednesday, after a successful campaign that saw them winning four matches in succession to top the log leading into the final round.

Similarly, Heat finished their matches before the Division 2 final round with an unassailable lead in the standings to win the title for a second consecutive time.

CSA Head of Cricket Pathways, Edward Khoza, congratulated the two teams on their achievement.

“Congratulations to the Hollywoodbets Dolphins and Northern Cape Heat on winning the CSA 4-Day Series.

“The 4-Day Series is the country’s premium red-ball competition and seeing it go down to the wire for both divisions has been exciting to watch. This shows us that there is a massive talent pool in the system that is keeping our domestic product exciting and competitive.

“To our players, affiliates, sponsors, administrators, fans and the media, thank you for making this competition a success, the strength of the domestic game relies on all of us” Khoza continued.

“As we conclude an actioned-packed CSA domestic season, we continue to urge South Africans to heed the call to end social issues that affect women and children,” Khoza concluded.

Make the pledge to #ENDGBV.
