James Fortuin, CEO of Cricket Boland and the company’s passionate owners, Christynn and Nigel Jacobs, made the announcement this week ahead of the season which starts later this month.
Commenting on the partnership, Nigel Jacobs said. “We are indeed honoured and excited to be a partner of Boland Cricket. We are proud that Cricket Boland has accepted us into their fold and to be part of this exciting journey which they have embarked upon to not only make the GbetsRocks a champion team but assist us in establishing our brand on a national and world stage.
“The fruit for our products are grown mainly in Montagu, Stellenbosch, Wellington, Ceres and Wolseley areas. Through this we are able to plough back and help with creating employment and opportunities in the rural areas.
Fortuin is equally elated. “This is the sort of partnership which we value. A small young vibrant brand from our region who endeavour to create a national footprint and grow with us. We will continue to pursue local brands to showcase our region’s rich potential.”
