Cricket South Africa (CSA) governs cricket in South Africa. Formed in 2002, it succeeded the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCB) and became the sole governing body in 2008. CSA oversees all levels of cricket, including national teams for men and women, and is a full ICC member and SASCOC affiliate.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has today announced the domestic fixtures for the bumper 2022/23 domestic season.

The 2022/23 cricket calendar promises to be an exciting feast yet, with 249 matches to be played for both men and women across all formats.
CSA has urged South African fans to be part of summer of cricket and rally behind their favourite teams and own summer this season.

CSA Director of Cricket, Enoch Nkwe, commented on the action-packed schedule ahead and what the season holds for the country’s sport lovers. “Our domestic structure is the building ground for our national heroes. This set-up has launched our stars as we know them and continues to grow throughout the years. “CSA strives to be the best in the world with homegrown talent. In addition to the attached fixtures, CSA is also looking forward to hosting the inaugural SA20 and the third edition of the SA Women’s Super League.

“Two years in a pandemic has disrupted sport. The summer of cricket awaits with excitement, action, and the gees to keep the supporters entertained,” Nkwe continued.
“CSA is honoured to be hosting the inaugural ICC U19 Women’s T20 and the 8th ICC Women’s T20 World Cup early in 2023, and domestic cricket is the best place to start building up the tempo of excitement and thrill in the game,” concluded Nkwe. CSA Chief Marketing Officer, Wanele Mngomezulu, said; “South Africa is poised to be the mecca of global sport events and as Cricket South Africa we are truly excited to usher in an unprecedented 2022/23 cricket season. “With over two hundred domestic, bilateral and ICC World Cup cricket fixtures scheduled from September 2022 to end April 2023, it is indeed a summer of cricket. “True to the summer season, we aim to bring colour, music, braai, and vibrancy through cricket. We want cricket to evoke all senses and emotions.

“With the start of domestic cricket scheduled to end in September, our call to various fans is to support your hometown pride and your team as we seek to showcase local talent and capabilities. “It’s the summer of cricket.
