KwaZulu-Natal Inland Cricket Union welcomed the announcement at the Cricket South Africa Annual General Meeting on its reinstatement as an affiliate member.
KZN Inland Chief Executive Officer Jason Sathiaseelan said, “we started the journey six years ago to reinstate KZN Inland Cricket Union as an affiliate member. We identified key areas of improvement and the team at KZN Inland have worked religiously to ensure we meet the required targets.”
“This is such a massive achievement for the Inland region, and we want to place on record our sincere thanks and appreciation to all role players that have contributed to this achievement. We must thank KZNCU (Coastal) for their support and guidance, not only in this process, but during the years we spent as a non-affiliate. This is the beginning of a new chapter at KZN Inland and we look forward to writing our own story,” Sathiaseelan said.
KZN Inland President Mr Shaun van der Byl said, “I would like to thank all six districts, board members, council members, the CEO and his operational team, the players and coaches and KZN Coastal cricket for all the hard work that went into achieving our affiliate status”.
Lead Independent Director, Advocate Ranjiv Nirghin said, “Congratulations and well done to the team that put the hard work to ensure we ticked the right boxes. Now the work begins.”
