Cricket South Africa (CSA) today announced an update to the second half of the 2020-21 Momentum One-Day schedule.
Senwes Park in Potchefstroom will host all six Pool B fixtures a week earlier than originally scheduled, from 22 – 30 January. The Six Gun Grill Cobras and Imperial Lions are first Pool B opponents, with the latter lined-up to round off the pool phase with an encounter against the Warriors.
The top two teams of Pool B will then contest the semi-finals against their Pool A counterparts on Monday, 01 February and Tuesday, 02 February in a bid for a spot in the final on Friday, 04 February.
The coveted domestic 50-over tournament gets underway this weekend with all three Pool A teams in action at Senwes Park. The current champions, the Hollywoodbets Dolphins begin their campaign against six-time winners, the Momentum Multiply Titans on Saturday morning, before taking on the VKB Knights on Sunday. Both matches are scheduled to start at 10:00am
There is heightened anticipation this time around following the curtailment of the semi-finals and final in the 2019/20 edition of the competition due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Although the games will be played behind closed doors in a bio-secure environment in line with the Gazetted National Disaster Regulations, fans will still be able to See Us On the Pitch with all matches being televised on SuperSport.
