North West Cricket (NPC) has appointed Ismail Minty as the Acting Chief Executive Officer.

This follows the resignation of former CEO, HP Prinsloo in July.

Minty will move from his role as the NWC Cricket Services Manager, to lead the organization and ensure that the game of cricket in the province survives the economic, governance and other challenges faced by NWC.

Minty has been involved with the organization for the past 20 years. From coaching the various age groups to the administration, Minty’s passion for the game has echoed through the various portfolios.

He was the General Manager of NW Rural Cricket, and further moved to the Transformation and Stakeholder Management role. In 2019 he was appointed as the organization’s Cricket Service Manager.

Minty holds an MBA in Business Management and has recently attended a Managers’ course at Wits Business School.

“I have been in the cricket system for a long time, and I am grateful for the confidence that NWC has shown me to lead the team for the duration of the season 2022/2023.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be given the opportunity lead the province’s cricket fraternity in these difficult circumstances and I look forward to making a difference in my new role,” said Minty.

His appointment came into effect on 16 August 2022.
