CSA: OVK partners with FSCU towards cricket development

Cricket South Africa (CSA) governs cricket in South Africa. Formed in 2002, it succeeded the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCB) and became the sole governing body in 2008. CSA oversees all levels of cricket, including national teams for men and women, and is a full ICC member and SASCOC affiliate.

Free State Cricket Union (FSCU) continues to enhance and develop cricket as the people’s game in the Free State, and welcomed OVK as yet another partner in our strive to attract, develop and retain talented players in Mangaung.  

The OVK Group, with its head office in Ladybrand, is a progressive agricultural company in South Africa. This new  partnership will assist FSCU to further grow the cricket brand within the Mangaung communities by providing transport to fulfil day-to-day cricket activities.

CEO of FSCU Johan van Heerden said: “We all know how difficult times are currently. OVK as one of the biggest role players in adding economical value to RSA, has joined hands with FSCU in closing the gap to assist taking the game to the communities. We are extremely proud to associate ourselves with OVK and look forward to a mutual beneficiary relationship.”

Stefan Oberholzer, MD of OVK said: “OVK supports local sport, and after nearly two years of not being able to watch live sport, he’s sure everyone is looking forward to support the Iive games. OVK is proud to be associated with the Free State Cricket Union and look forward to a great season of cricket.”
