Cricket South Africa (CSA) is pleased to announce that the Proteas have returned no positive COVID-19 results in their third round of testing since their arrival in Cape Town for the limited-overs tour against England starting tomorrow (27 November).

The two players who tested positive last week were not part of the tested group and remain in isolation and are being monitored closely. They are progressing well and are in good health.

The hosts did their final round of testing this morning (Thursday) with the expectation of receiving results later in the evening – an update will be provided when the results are confirmed.

The inbound tour will consist of a three-match, KFC T20 International and three-match, Betway One-Day International (ODI) Series in Cape Town and Paarl.

In other news, all-rounder, Dwaine Pretorius has been ruled out of the England tour due to a hamstring injury.

The injury took place during a team practice session at Six Gun Grill Newlands and is expected to take three to four weeks for recovery.

No replacement will be named.

South Africa A team coach, Malibongwe Maketa has also joined the Proteas camp as extra cover to assist the team.

Audio and video featuring Quinton de Kock and Dr Shuaib Manjra’s press conference can be located here from 11:20.
