CSA: Proteas men confirmed to travel to Bangladesh for upcoming test series

Cricket South Africa (CSA) governs cricket in South Africa. Formed in 2002, it succeeded the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCB) and became the sole governing body in 2008. CSA oversees all levels of cricket, including national teams for men and women, and is a full ICC member and SASCOC affiliate.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board can confirm the two-match Test series scheduled to start on 21 October will go ahead.

A security assessment was recently conducted by CSA’s Operations Manager, Team Security Manager, Safety and Security Consultant, and a representative of the South African Cricketers’ Association. CSA has given the series a go-ahead based on the recommendations made by the team post an in-loco inspection visit to Bangladesh.

The Proteas Men will arrive in Dhaka on 16 October, ahead of their first Test match against Bangladesh from 21 to 25 October. After that, the team will travel to Chattogram for the second match, scheduled from 29 October to 02 November.

The squad will be announced later today.
