CSA: Tyler Easton taking over as Garden Route Badgers Strength and Conditioning Coach

Cricket South Africa (CSA) governs cricket in South Africa. Formed in 2002, it succeeded the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCB) and became the sole governing body in 2008. CSA oversees all levels of cricket, including national teams for men and women, and is a full ICC member and SASCOC affiliate.

The Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers has announced the appointment of Tyler Easton as the newly appointed Strength & Conditioning Coach of their professional team.

Easton, who hails from Pretoria and was educated at Pretoria Boys High School, completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sports psychology and a Higher Certificate in Sports Science at the University of Pretoria, has taken up the position on 1 September.  Hy also completed a Diploma in Sports and Exercise at ETA and has a Sports Massage Therapy Certification.  He was formerly involved with the Titans cricket team where he completed his internship and a strength and conditioning trainer and massage therapist.

He also represented Northerns Cricket at schools’ level has a CSA Level II coaching certificate.

“Tyler’s credentials, skills and experience speaks for itself and together with his professional work ethics he will be an asset for SWD Cricket”, commented Albertus Kennedy, the Chief Executive Officer.  “He will be an important appointment in our desire to be elevated in the structures going forward”, Kennedy concluded.
