Cricket West Indies has congratulated Conde Riley on his recent national honour in Barbados during the island’s 54th anniversary of independence celebrations.
Riley, who is President of the Barbados Cricket Association and a Director of Cricket West Indies, received the Gold Crown of Merit, for his contribution to the game.
It was presented by Governor-General Dame Sandra Mason, at the independence ceremony on Monday morning. In December 2019, he was made an Officer of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s 2020 New Year Honours.

Originally established as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control in the 1920s, it became the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in 1996 and was rebranded as Cricket West Indies in May 2017 as part of a restructuring effort.
