CWI: Dr. Shallow visits Kensington Oval as they prepare for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup

Cricket West Indies (CWI) governs cricket across the West Indies, a confederation of Caribbean countries. Originally established as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control in the 1920s, it became the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in 1996 and was rebranded as Cricket West Indies in May 2017 as part of a restructuring effort.

CWI President Dr. Kishore Shallow alongside Barbados Minister of Sport Hon. Charles Griffith and Chairman of Kensington Oval Management Inc. Mr. Damien Gaskin conducted a site visit yesterday in preparation for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Also in attendance were White Ball Head Coach Mr. Daren Sammy, Acting President of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) CWI Director Calvin Hope, and Jason King.

President Shallow expressed satisfaction with Barbados’ advanced state of preparation for hosting the tournament.
