Cricket West Indies (CWI) governs cricket across the West Indies, a confederation of Caribbean countries. Originally established as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control in the 1920s, it became the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in 1996 and was rebranded as Cricket West Indies in May 2017 as part of a restructuring effort.

Background

Cricket West Indies, which is headquartered in Antigua, is the governing body responsible for cricket in the West Indies. Its mission is to manage, develop and promote cricket to the benefit and enjoyment of the West Indian people and the world.

The Role

The role of the Integrity Officer will be to provide a Cricket West Indies physical presence during the staging of international and regional matches, Caribbean Premiere League and International Cricket Council events.

The Integrity officer will also be responsible for leading the CWI Anti-Corruption program to ensure the integrity of the cricket meets Cricket West Indies and International Cricket Council standards of performance and conduct.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  1. Anti-corruption compliance during cricket matches, Player Match Officials Area.
  2. Relationship Building with key stakeholders.
  3. Undertake Investigations and Intelligence gathering.
  4. Audit Match Venues
  5. Training & Education.

Qualifications and Experience

Academic/Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline

Practical Experience

  • Worked in or with a law enforcement agency or the military establishment in supervisory rank for at least 10 years.
  • Experience with handling complex, manipulative and potential sources of information

Skills/Competency

  • Leadership & supervisory skills.
  • Strong planning, prioritizing, organizing and execution skills.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship building and maintenance skills.
  • Emotional intelligence.

Knowledge/Understanding

  • Knowledge of cognitive interviewing interviewing
  • Understanding of modern techniques and tactics including methods of surveillance and the use of technical assistance.
  • Understanding of anti-corruption law enforcement framework and mechanisms.
