Cricket West Indies (CWI) governs cricket across the West Indies, a confederation of Caribbean countries. Originally established as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control in the 1920s, it became the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in 1996 and was rebranded as Cricket West Indies in May 2017 as part of a restructuring effort.

There is nothing more beautiful or a smile that shines brighter than a mother’s love for her child. Jayden Seales’ mom Ann Marie was beaming in the stands as her son claimed his first fifer in First Class cricket, finishing with 5/49 in the Red Force’s third round clash of the West Indies Championship against the Leeward Islands.

Mrs. Seales said,

“I’m very proud of him, he’s worked very hard, so he deserves all that he gets. I don’t know how to (express) how I feel seeing him play at the highest level for the West Indies.”

As the parent of an athlete, Mrs. Seales encouraged other parents that

“Support is the biggest thing. When a child knows that their parents are there for them, it pushes them an extra mile.”
