‘Banks Party Stand, Presented by Power by Four’ returns for 10 days of West Indies cricket

The forthcoming West Indies vs England Betway T20 International (T20I) Series and 2nd Test match at the Kensington Oval will see the return of the world famous West Indies Party Stand with tickets on sale from today. The “Banks Party Stand” sponsored by Barbados’ beloved Banks beer brand, and presented by party stand specialists Power by Four will be open for all five upcoming Betway T20Is between two-time world champions West Indies and England. The eagerly-anticipated five-match Betway T20I Series will be played from January 22 to 30.

The Banks Party Stand presented by Power by Four will also be open for the second Test match between West Indies and England on March 16-20. Fans will be able to experience the thrilling cricket rivalry from a superb beach-style environment featuring bleachers, jet skis, deckchairs and rum barrels. The West Indies vibes will come to life with DJs, dancers, an entertainment stage, fully stocked bars and a food court with the great aromas of Caribbean food, whilst water misters are also available to cool fans down when the action gets too hot.

Due to COVID-19 protocols, the party stand will have a limited capacity of 600 places. Fans will also need to be both fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test result from an approved Barbados government provider. The test must have been taken within 48 hours of the start of the match in question to be able to enter the venue (A negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test is NOT required to enter other stands at Kensington Oval). The party stand operator, Power by Four, will be working with CWI, the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) and Kensington Oval to provide access to rapid COVID-19 testing close to the venue. Fans who purchase tickets will receive further details on this by email. Party stand ticket purchasers will also need to wear face masks at all times other than when eating and drinking.

Banks Party Stand Tickets are priced at US$100 per day (BDS$200 per day) and can be purchased online via the new West Indies ticket service atwww.windiescricket.com/tickets. For the Betway T20Is, the ticket price includes 5 soft or alcoholic drinks and a meal from the food court. For the 2ndTest match, the ticket price includes 5 soft or alcoholic drinks and food vouchers for breakfast, a meal plus a hotdog or burger.

For the Tests, tickets will be priced at US$100 per the day with a five-day season ticket price available for US$400. Those fans buying their tickets online will be able to login into their ticket account and save the tickets to a mobile device for scanning or print the tickets out at home to present at the venue entrance, thus avoiding queues and providing the quickest way to purchase tickets. Tickets will also go on sale through the box office at Kensington Oval in the week before the first T20I with opening times to be confirmed shortly.

Dominic Warne, CWI’s Commercial Director said:

“The party stand has become a memorable and vibrant part of watching the West Indies in the Caribbean. Local West Indies fans and travelling England fans alike have fallen in love with the party atmosphere whilst watching top class cricket. It’s very much unique to our part of the cricketing world and we are grateful to the Barbados Ministry of Health, the BCA and Kensington Oval for working with us to enable the party stand to be open with the outlined COVID-19 protocols. We are also delighted that we can partner with sponsors Banks and the party stand operators Power by Four to bring the West Indies vibe on and off the field at Kensington Oval.”

All fans must prepare to bring evidence of their COVID-19 vaccination(s) to get entry to the Kensington Oval for these games. Fans who are unable to provide this documentation will not be able to enter the venue nor will they be eligible for a refund.
