Cricket West Indies (CWI) governs cricket across the West Indies, a confederation of Caribbean countries. The West Indies Women’s completed week three of their high-performance training camp at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium in Antigua and one of their assistant coaches, Robert Samuels is pleased with what he’s seeing. The former West Indies batman and Jamaica captain, has been working closely with Head Coach Courtney Walsh in working to build get the players fully prepared for their next international assignments.

Samuels told CWI Media:

“The bowlers are being challenged so for me that means the batter have basically stepped up their game and the batters have been challenging the bowlers… it’s a good look.”

The camp has kicked into high gear with players kicking into form as the team returns to competitive international cricket soon. The West Indies Women will continue to live and train in a bio-secure bubble for the duration of the camp.
