What a summer it was for the skillful pace bowler from St. Vincent, Obed McCoy during the West Indies International Home Series against South Africa, Australia and Pakistan.

Obed began his successful summer against South Africa, producing wonderful spells throughout, finishing the series with 9 wickets and a mountain of confidence. Obed came to the party again in the first match of the series versus Australia, where he earned the Player of the Match accolade. Impressed was the word to describe the selectors and Head Coach of McCoy’s performances. It earned him a selection in the defending champions West Indies provisional 18-member squad for the ICC T20 World Cup.

Maroon Fans all over the world will be eager to see Obed bring his left arm pace to the high-speed action in the UAE. McCoy is expected to be one of the front-liners of the bowling attack, having shown his expertise in the T10 league played earlier this year in the UAE.

The extremely skillful McCoy will be aiming to make this a breakout tournament for himself and helping #MissionMaroon to retain the trophy would be a dream come through for the West Indies’ leading T20I wicket taker in 2021.
