Derbyshire County Cricket Club is looking to recruit a Head of Cricket who can create and deliver a long-term cricket strategy, to drive us forward and bring success to the county. The successful post-holder will be responsible for all aspects of the cricket department, reporting to the Chief Executive and DCCC Supervisory Board.
The Head of Cricket role will include but is not limited to:
• Creation and delivery of a long-term cricket strategy from elite pathway through to 1st XI
• Identification, recruitment and personal development of players, coaches and support staff
• Responsibility for the forecast and management of the cricket budget working with Cricket Operations Manager
• Ensuring compliance with all required aspects of the CPA and ECB Regulations
• Work with the Head Groundsman to develop a clear pitch preparation strategy
• Ensure all 1st and 2nd team matches have the appropriate coaching and medical cover
• Provide management and support to the Head of Pathway
• Reporting to the supervisory board on a monthly basis
Qualifications, Training and Experience:
• ECB Level 4 coaching qualification (level 3 working towards 4 will be considered)
• Ideally at least 3 years’ experience of working in the professional game
• Extensive knowledge of both professional cricket in England and around the world
• An understanding of long-term player development
• Knowledge of talent identification methods and the use of data analysis.
• In depth working knowledge of best practice of coaching styles and delivery
