Cricket Victoria has named Dulip Samaraweera as the new Head Coach of the Victorian women’s team.

Samaraweera, a former Test and One-Day International player for Sri Lanka, honed his skills at Colts Cricket Club in Colombo.

His journey with Cricket Victoria began in 2008 as a specialist batting coach, eventually leading to his interim appointment as Head Coach in November last year.

Expressing his gratitude on this new opportunity, Samaraweera remarked: “I’m very grateful for this opportunity to lead a really special group of dedicated and determined athletes during such a promising time for women’s cricket in Victoria.”
