About the job
We are looking for an experienced Associate Director-level comms specialist who can come in and hit the ground running during cricket’s busy summer season, taking the reins to lead on a number of key projects on the Campaigns side of the Comms Team.
The projects span core campaigns linked to ECB’s Inspiring Generations strategy, around youth participation, engaging women and girls, and volunteering (EDI focus), as well as key areas of activation across The Hundred; a new competition launching this July to welcome in a broader audience to the game.
This role will provide team leadership, supporting the Head of Campaigns and Communications Director.

1. Core campaigns
- Youth participation campaign
- Volunteer recruitment for youth participation programmes
- Women and girls’ engagement campaign

- Digital innovations features
- Player content days
- Event test day
- Competition time planning and activation support
3. Campaigns x internal comms support
YOU’LL HAVE
- Experience in consumer comms space with a proven track record to reach broader audiences
- Understanding of the sports space, ideally with some knowledge of cricket, but this is not essential
- Strong campaign and project management skills
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders internally and externally
- Well versed in working on PESO campaigns with cross-department engagement
- Commercially-driven and able to demonstrate awareness of how a comms role can drive sales and engagement (sign ups etc).
- Event activation experience
- Well versed in working in influencer and advocacy space
- Women’s sport space experience desirable
