PURPOSE
We’re hiring for this exciting role to run the We Are England Cricket Supporters and Participation consumer-facing email marketing programmes. You will use data-driven insight to segment the audience effectively and personalise communications to maximise engagement with these two key channels for the ECB.

YOU’LL BE DOING
- Developing and managing the We Are England Cricket Supporters and All Stars & Dynamos Cricket Parents Newsletter email plans, planning relevant and timely campaigns in line with wider marketing, digital content and commercial partner plans.
- Executing all email campaigns using our ESP, dotmailer, from designing and building emails through to audience selection, campaign testing and deployment, ensuring attention to detail and quality controls are in place at all times.
- Building a thorough understanding and knowledge of the Supporters and All Stars Cricket Parents database to be able to advise on the best strategies for engaging them with key ECB campaigns and initiatives.
- Assisting on campaigns for The Hundred, from driving ticket sales to building excitement ahead of the Competition.
- Monitoring the performance of the welcome and lapse prevention programmes and evolving and improving these as necessary.
- Executing the priority window and general sale plans to drive ticket sales for international and domestic cricket fixtures, and the retention plans for All Stars & Dynamos Cricket to drive registration for the programme.
- Supporting the wider Marketing team to deliver growth for the We Are England Cricket Supporters membership.
- Working with our Digital and Marketing Teams to create and brief effective content that will resonate with our identified audiences.
- Supporting the Network Communications team with weekly newsletters to the wider ECB database, from Clubs to Umpires.
- Conducting ongoing email performance analysis and reporting back to the relevant stakeholders.
- Working with the commercial partnerships team to deliver sponsor contractual rights.
- Working with the customer services team to resolve any queries related to Supporters and/or All Stars Cricket emails.
- Building relationships with our partners across the First-Class County network.
- Working with our IT team, digital and email marketing agencies to manage our customer databases, ensuring customer data remains clean and GDPR compliant.
YOU’LL HAVE
- Experience of using an email service provider to build and deploy emails, including using personalisation and dynamic content.
- An understanding of how to segment a customer database and target content to audiences.
- Demonstrable experience in copywriting, preferably for email, and the ability to work within brand and tone of voice guidelines.
- The ability to gain insights and learnings from performance data and experience of reporting on campaigns.
- An eye for design and the ability to create eye-catching and engaging emails.
- Capability of briefing and working with design teams to create assets for our email campaigns.
- A willingness to work flexibly and proactively, both autonomously and effectively within a team as the situation demands.
- Experience of working with agencies.
