PURPOSE
Cricket’s ambition is to become the most inclusive sport in England & Wales. As the national governing body, we know that we must do more and this role will be an essential part of achieving that ambition. As part of the ECB’s EDI team reporting into the EDI Director, you’ll be engaging and educating people at all levels from recreational to elite, working alongside over 60 cricket organisations (‘the game’) to deliver our strategy.

YOU’LL BE DOING
This is a varied role which will require significant collaboration with other teams to ensure we stay connected and work together to deliver the game’s EDI strategy. There are two key parts to the role:
Engagement
- Coordinating our four newly formed Employee Networks for gender, ethnicity, disability, and LGBTQ+ helping them to design and deliver their plans.
- Engaging with underrepresented communities to build relationships, understand barriers, and identify opportunities to get more people involved in cricket.
- Engaging with key voices in the EDI space and EDI organisations to learn and share best practice.
- Championing EDI personally and creating EDI champions across the game at all levels.
Education
- Owning the ongoing development and delivery of the ECB’s EDI education curriculum for the game, including engaging with stakeholders to understand their learning needs.
- Supporting EDI leads across the game, acting as subject matter advisor on EDI education.
- Building close relationships with our education suppliers to deliver high quality EDI education that is tailored to cricket.
- Managing learning administration e.g., scheduling, budgeting, communications.
- Monitoring and reporting on EDI education initiatives to demonstrate their impact.
YOU’LL HAVE
- Clear enthusiasm, knowledge, and passion for equity, diversity, and inclusion that you use to deliver great results.
- A good understanding of key EDI topics, and a desire to continue learning and developing.
- Experience managing projects from end to end.
- Ability to prioritise across multiple projects and pieces of work.
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, at different seniority levels.
- Ability to build relationships to influence change across the complex map of cricket organisations.
- Strong communications skills, with an understanding of how to create accessible content that engages different audiences.
It’s not essential, but we’d be particularly keen to hear from you if you have experience in learning and development including curriculum design, or running ERGs/BRGs.
