The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is the national governing body for cricket in England and Wales, formed on January 1, 1997. It combines roles from the Test and County Cricket Board, National Cricket Association, and Cricket Council, and integrated the Women's Cricket Association in 1998. Based at Lord's Cricket Ground, the ECB oversees all levels of cricket, including national teams for men, women, and various disability categories.

Western Storm duo Lauren Filer and Danielle Gibson are included in the 15-strong group for their maiden full call-ups.

England Women have announced their squad for the LV= Insurance Women’s Ashes Test, where Heather Knight’s outfit will kick off their Metro Bank Women’s Ashes summer at Trent Bridge, Nottingham (22-26 June).

 Western Storm duo Lauren Filer and Danielle Gibson are included in the 15-strong group for their maiden full call-ups.  

Seamer Filer, who previously represented England Academy, has been a mainstay and top bowling performer in Western Storm’s last two campaigns. 

All-rounder Gibson is Storm’s joint-highest run scorer and top wicket taker in this season’s Charlotte Edwards Cup and in line to earn her first senior cap after travelling to the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup as a travelling reserve in February.   

The preparations for a thrilling summer of cricket get underway this week as England Women’s Test squad will play Australia A in a three-day warm-up fixture at the Incora County Ground, Derbyshire (15-17 June).   

Meanwhile, England A, who will contest in their own IT20 and ODI series against their Australian counterparts, captained by Northern Diamonds’ Lauren Winfield-Hill will play the senior Australia Women’s team in a three-day warm-up at Uptonsteel County Ground, Leicestershire (15-17 June).    

Alice Davidson-Richards and Danielle Wyatt will represent England A in the warm-up matches and are also named in the senior Test squad.
