This role is for the Head of Digital Operations, within the Commercial department. This is a senior role within the ECB’s Digital and Data team, working with multiple stakeholders within different departments across the ECB, ensuring the smooth process of digital delivery and impact, as well as financial and business planning and supplier relationship management.

YOU’LL BE DOING
- Acting as an evangelist for Digital and Data and ensuring that the digital strategy is well-understood and bought into across the organisation
- Reflect other departmental priorities back in to ECB digital thinking
- Representing Digital and Data in internal stakeholder meetings, and game wide meetings, in order to triage requests from across the ECB and the network
- Work across the team to understand what digital products and solutions are already available and propose solutions before agreeing to creating new ones
- Work with the Product, Content, Data, and IT teams to deliver solutions
- Working with vendors and agencies to align on short and long-term roadmaps
- Support on strategic commercial partnerships, ensuring digital rights delivery and implementing new commercial strategies
- Leading on reviewing the current digital landscape and delivery of digital across the ECB, identifying where digital tools or techniques can help more efficient and /or effective delivery of organisational priorities
Management
- Run regular business planning process and KPI setting and tracking across Digital and Data
- Managing annual digital and data budgets (including but not limited to editorial, video, product, channel management, vendor licenses, development), continually critiquing and assessing the approach to ensure maximum cost efficiencies are delivered year on year
- Management of all digital and data related agencies and vendor relationships, including contracting and RFP processes
- Managing requests from stakeholders around the business
- Working with the Director of Digital and Data on creating objectives that ladder up to Commercial Team and ECB-wide priorities
- Working closely with other teams within the business such as Marketing, Comms, Participation and Growth and IT to ensure shared objectives are delivered and supported by Digital and Data
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and make suggestions where appropriate for improvements that could be made across the entire digital offering
YOU’LL HAVE
- Honed and effective collaboration and team-working skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and stakeholder requirements and influence at peer and senior management levels
- Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
- Experience of working across frameworks of TV and digital rights from a broadcast/partner perspective
- Experience implementing agile practices to support improvements to ways of working, as well as in roadmap development.
- Demonstrable management of delivering complex digital design and build projects
- Previous experience of business planning, budgeting and contracting across a complex organisation
- Motivated and enthusiastic attitude
- Understanding of all aspects of a sport from elite to grassroots
- People management skills including direct line management, stakeholder management and partner management.
