About the job

Generalist HR partner to the business developing relationships with managers and leaders across the business. Supporting the Interim head of HR on delivering on all aspects of the people lifecycle to include ER/people management and onboarding.

A strong focus on development to assist with formulating and delivering a learning strategy aligned with OD and organisational culture to ensure employees are upskilled to understand the attitudes, behaviours, skills and knowledge to meet changing business needs, including new ways of working and transformation.

You will also support the People Director and other ‘Heads of’ in the People Team in upskilling managers in various aspects of people management as well as delivering an efficient, productive and effective talent & engagement function, encompassing professional, technical, vocational and soft skills.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • With the Interim Head of HR, partner with managers and leaders across the ECB ensuring a deep understanding of business strategy and implement high-quality, responsive, strategic and operational HR practices.
  • Advising, guiding and supporting people managers to develop and embed HR best practice, enabling stakeholders to identify and deliver the development needs of ECB employees to deliver [Inspiring Generations 2.0]
  • Work with managers to drive the inclusion and diversity agenda in every aspect of the employee life cycle.
  • Guiding and coaching to managers to resolve people issues, develop solutions and seek continuous improvement.
  • Planning, delivering and evaluating learning and training programmes – bespoke and blended to ensure all employees across ECB are able to reach their full potential.
  • Support the Head of Talent in the Talent ID and skills evaluation process to help build a strong talent management programme including creation of personal development plans supported by bespoke learning content or third party programmes and partners
  • Identify current and future L&D needs within ECB, informing the design of a range of learning interventions including technical, behavioural and self-development programmes
  • Project managing the annual appraisal / PDP development, supporting the development of succession planning across the business and driving a culture of feedback and self-development
  • Creating inclusive, engaging and blended learning/training plans for employees identifying appropriate and relevant e-learning content and partners to deliver a compelling curriculum which supports talent management programme and processes
  • Develop learning and development solutions aligned with ECB talent management processes and tools
  • Stakeholder Management – build strong relations with leaders and key stakeholders ensuring a full understanding of their training needs and requirements

YOU’LL HAVE

  • A proven track record as a business partner providing a commercially focused, pragmatic and value-added HR partnering service to senior management, preferably within an environment that has undergone significant change
  • Extensive generalist HR knowledge across all functional areas and a real passion for detail, analysis and critical thinking as well as customer-focussed delivery
  • Strong evidence of partnering with senior business leaders on employee relations issues and effectively influencing them
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing and rapidly changing priorities in a matrix environment
  • Experience of supporting on change management initiatives
  • CIPD/L&D certification or equivalent or working towards a qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of L&D best practice and confidence delivering and facilitating training to employees across an organisation in engaging and innovative ways
  • High EQ and interpersonal skills to ensure excellent stakeholder management
  • Self-motivated, diligent and responsive, responsible, accountable, resilient and able to adapt to change quickly
  • Proactive and engaging learning partner and facilitator who ensures development mindset/growth mindset is embedded in our culture
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to thrive and deliver results during times of change
  • Creative, innovative and resourceful
  • Ability to inspire and motivate
  • Growth mindset – ability to demonstrate success through learning and improvement
