About the job

PURPOSE

An exciting and world leading 2023 is witnessing the ECB initiate a phased and targeted role out of mobile ball tracking (iHawk) across the domestic Men’s and Women’s games. 2024 and beyond will see the technology deployed across all domestic men’s and women’s games, alongside deployment within the domestic and international pathways.

The aim of the iHawk project is to provide quantifiable and automated ball tracking data for the domestic game. Domestic ball tracking data will replace the subjective KPI’s currently captured manually in a lapsed time fashion, providing comprehensive novel objective data across the game, which will;

• Enhance player identification via provision of more comprehensive, objective, and pertinent data from the domestic game;

• This in turn will contribute towards player development, helping England and Domestic coaches to identify areas for development and improvement, whilst providing previously unavailable real-time feedback

• The data available will help ECB to identify the player’s most likely to be able to perform at the International level at an earlier stage
